This can be very, very difficult...especially when your cpp is trying to push your buttons. But to engage only perpetuates the conflict and does nothing to help you get through this process with dignity and compassion. When you hold your separation or divorce process in this manner, you help to assure that you will find your way through this process with grace and ease. Conflict steals energy from more important things like taking care of yourself and being present for your children.

Be Proud of Your Own Behavior
No matter how your child's other parent is behaving. Make a deal with yourself that every time you engage with your co-parent partner (cpp), you will not allow yourself to add to the conflict. Instead, you will be respectful in word, tone and attitude.
